Where To Ride

Whether it's because you want to move more freely through traffic, fuel economy, easy parking, an exciting weekend, recreation or commute on a scooter, Noosa is a great place to be.

All of Noosa's famous tourist attractions and beautiful beaches are easily accessible by scooter.  Enjoy the great weather, sense of freedom and arrive smiling at your destination.

But please:

  • Avoid riding on sand. Sand quickly clogs filters and destroys bearings if it gets in.
  • Do not ride on the footpath.
  • When riding behind a car, make sure that they can see you. Don't sit in blind spots.
  • Maintain a position of maximum visibility.
  • Be visible and assertive (as opposed to aggressive).
  • Learn to anticipate. Watch what drivers are doing. Is that on-coming driver looking at an upcoming street and are they about to turn directly across your path to get to it?   If in doubt about something or someone up ahead, slow down and prepare to stop.
  • Don't go riding in sneakers, thongs, or bare feet.  Wear protective clothing on your body including your feet.
  • Keep enough distance between yourself and any vehicles in front of you to spot potholes, or other road hazards in time to avoid them.
  • Slow down when being tailgated.  If anything unexpected happens, it could buy enough time to keep from getting run over.
